Encouraging Unity and Youth Involvement through Socially Conscious Hip Hop Music?
We are IDeology, and that's our goal!
This spring we received a $10,000 Peace Grant from the Davis Foundation's "100 Projects for Peace" (http://www.kwd100projectsforpeace.org) that offered us the opportunity to share our music and message with young people from all across the country and the world. Our project entitled "Change from Within" is a dynamic collaboration between IDeology and our friend and public speaker Jamie Utt. Our project discusses prejudice, bigotry, and hate within our society and encourages people to embody the change they wish to see in the world. Currently, IDeology is working on a new presentation that will be focused on using our music to progress social and environmental justice and to help bring more people (especially young people) into the movement for positive change. We are currently unsigned and searching for people and organizations that we can connect and collaborate with. We are very excited about networking with everyone and discussing ways that we can all be more inclusive and innovative in progressing a new clean-energy agenda.
Ever one of us has something different to offer the growing movement for social and environmental justice. For us it is music. What is it for you?
