I am an OSU student and in the club Students for Food Sovereignty. We have been donated a plot of land in the backyard of a couple right outside campus. The plot is 30x30 and I have attached a picture. We want to use some clothes lines they have on the south side as a trellis for tomatoes and such but we aren't fond of row crops. I was looking for some outside input. We originally wanted to do a food forrest but realized that we may not have enough space. We then thought about doing the nucleus idea and growing around a center point but once again may not have the space. They definitely want to keep the stuff I drew in (grape vines, walnut tree, raspberry bush and barn). The concrete might go back a little farther than the grass but I think we can still work with it. We're looking for something a little less maintenance. There's a compost pile that was already started and we have a lot of work to do mulching and just preparing the yard. But I'm hoping to get some pictures up eventually.
Thank you all so much for your input and definitely let me know if you have any questions!
