Hi, Marcelle. Where is your event based? I produce the Moving Image Festival at the Bioneers Conference and could probably recommend some films for Hot Chocolate Movie Nights. Several people on our staff have used CouchSurfing and say great things about it.

Hi! I work as an Events Coordinator for the non-profit organization CouchSurfing (www.couchsurfing.org). My first project is called "Hot Chocolate Movie Nights", which consists of monthly movie sessions - preceded by distribution of tasty hot chocolate - in our backyard. My idea is to show mind-opening, inspiring films, mainly documentaries, and perhaps have the filmmakers themselves come and present them. If anyone has an interest in showing their films at this event, please contact me at mars@couchsurfing.org. Thanks!

Please see my blog post today about the Canadian film on raw dairy farmer, Michael Schmidt. This is a very important film to the sustainable agriculture movement. If you are in the SF Bay area, you are invited to attend a screening next Friday nite!

Here are a couple more of our more popular videos...

YERT Conversation 19.1: Solar Roadways
YERT talks with Scott Brusaw in northern Idaho about an idea that could solve nearly every problem "under the sun" - literally. Welcome to Solar Roadways, where the rubber hits the...er...photovoltaic panel.

and...

Bear Necessities
This is our entry into the TreeHugger "Convenient Truths" eco-video contest. Thanks to all of you (and a few judges), we placed SECOND out of nearly one hundred entries!

As always, I'm happy to share high-res versions of all the YERT videos for projection at Bioneers events. Just drop a line my way at mark@yert.com. The rest of the videos (over 40) can be found at www.yert.com.

Thanks!

Hey, All!

Mark from YERT here, and we're scheduled to present some YERT videos at the Northern New England Bioneers. Feel free, however, to look through our website and pick some that you'd like to share at your regional Bioneers event and I'll be happy to provide higher resolution versions that project nicely onto a big screen. :-)

Here's a recently completed video:

Our website it http://www.yert.com . Can't wait for you to check it out!

All the Best,
Mark Dixon

This is a feature documentary I did on Southern-California's Salton Sea called PLAGUES & PLEASURES ON THE SALTON SEA and narrated by John Waters.

Sometimes it's referred to as an environmental comedy.

Heart and Soil

This family documentary clips along with the pace of barefoot children and frolicking livestock. taking you on a journey into the rich landscape and lives of farmers involved in local agriculture, farmer’s markets and farm to school programs.
This uplifting movie will inspire
you to dig in and grow your
own, or support those who do
for our personal and planetary
health.

Voted Top Ten favorite films at Santa Fe Film Festival.

Hi! Inspired by the Code Pink founders several years ago, I created a video to raise funds for Code Pink. It's my Pies for Peace effort! The video is "Pie Crust 101," and literally teaches folks how to make blue-ribbon pie crusts. 26 min DVD, $16 plus s/h. ALL of the profits go to Code Pink!
