Profile Information

Hometown:
Baltimore, MD
About Me:
I am overly involved with watersheds, streams and stormwater systems in urban areas through my work with the Herring Run Watershed Association and the Baltimore Ecosystem Study.
I am interested in sustainability and greater awareness of the natural world especially as it relates to urban people.
What are you working on?
For the last year I have been experimenting with moving water in a Baltimore city storm water system known by it's stream name-- Chinquapin Run. I am influenced by the work of the early 20th century Austrian Hydrologist Viktor Schauberger and through my streamwork hope to introduce more people to his philosophies and ideas.
Favorite Book(s):
Living Energies — Viktor Schauberger's brilliant work with Natural Energies Explained by Callum Coates

About Victor Schauberger

In the beginning of the 20th century, Viktor Schauberger of Austria came out of the woods and into his own as a force to be reckoned with both literally and figuratively. Schauberger was from a family of forest wardens, who for centuries kept watch over the holdings of various royals in the mountain regions of Austria. Rather than attend formal school, he chose to work in the woods, learning about nature thru first-hand observation. Alpine stream systems were a focus. Commissioned by a prince to… Continue
