Thanks for signing up here. The Bioneers Education Community is just getting going here, but feel free to share some of your thoughts and insights. I just checked out your latest blog entry and saw that you were reading Ecological Literacy. The frustration that you express regarding the difference between the essays in the book and your reality as a teacher in your community are feelings that I'm sure many others are dealing with as well.

I am an elementary school teacher who is planning to retire from the classroom in June, 2008. At that time I will set myself free to follow a dream of doing what I can, where I can, to help "The Movement" as Paul Hawken calls it in Blessed Unrest - the most awe-inspiring book I have yet to read.
