As Bioneers rounds out a 20th year, we are filled with gratitude for our communities. Thank you for taking us on your journey, especially in tough economic times. We hope that you'll continue to look to Bioneers for inspiration. We'd like to talk to you about our challenge grant, but first...

This beautiful and inspiring piece entitled
Back to the Land, by Maira Kalman in the
New York Times, features a handful of bioneers, and simply and eloquently makes that case that it's time to slow down and return to the land, and teach our children to do the same--for our health and happiness.
A perfect t…

In his response to
An Empire in Decline,
Kenny Ausubel writes, "The driving force behind this unprecedented globalized collapse is financial. Hazel Henderson has characterized conventional economics as 'a form of brain damage.' We’re experiencing its devastating effects right now. It rationalizes the insatiable predation of na…

JP Harpignies has been with Bioneers since 1990--he's filled roles as conference producer, copy-editor and writer (to name a few). In a recent
blog post, JP writes: "The U.S.A. is an empire in decline. Mentioning that is an absolute taboo for any domestic political figure, but it is self-evident to most credible geopolitical analysts across the political spectrum worldw…

Dear Friend,
Saturday's the day -- October 24, the International Day of Climate Action. So join the nearest 350 action knowing you'll be part of something big.
Very big, in fact. This campaign has gone viral--there will be over four thousand events taking place simultaneously in over 175 nations. As far as we can tell, you'll be part of the single most widespread day of political action about any issue that our planet has ever seen.
There are too many incredible events to list in one place, b…

Isn't it just a little ironic that Oregon doesn't seem to show up as even beaming the annual Bioneers conference?
Maybe there have been sporadic years where this has happened here, but after living in this state for thirty years, I keep finding that all this green beauty and a lack of either awareness, motivation and/or funding resources don''t make us one of the greatest partners to an event such as Bioneers! But then again, I have remained an unsupported female artist & single parent here…

Hi, My name is Chloe and I went to Bioneers with a school club. We are called
Envirolution and we do trash N' shows and are currently trying to ban styrofoam. We also are hoping to teach other schools about how we can keep our community green.
When we came to Bioneers I had no clue what we were going to be in for. I didn't know I would learn so much about what is harming our planet. I didn't know food was such an issue either. (I saw the Food video and I couldn't believe my eyes). The s…

“It’s showtime,” says Bioneers CEO and Co-Founder Kenny Ausubel. “We are going to mobilize decisive action in this next decade. That also means working at the local and regional level, in all aspects of our lives and communities. We can do it.”
Join us at the Bioneers Conference--to find out how you can get involved. Take a look at t…

What is it with Glen Beck and his attacks on Bioneers alumni? Could it be that they are on the right track, and Beck doesn't want to admit those many inconvenient truths? What does he have against
Van Jones and
Annie Leonard?
Here's what Spencer Windes has to say: "For the second time in a month, Beck has chosen to attack one of our Bioneers alumni. First, of course, he we…

From the forgotten times, our creator, Mamü Kaku Serankua, placed the four tribes of Niumekë Quekü in the navel of the world, instructing them to preserve and thus take care of the Mother Earth who takes care of us, feeds us, and, with love, offers us all. Since then, the Ika, Sanka, Koguis, and Kankuamos have fulfilled this function. While some offer their gratitude in ceremony to the sun, others do so with the mountain, and so on, independent of one another, we do this with all of nature and t…
